Compagnie Maritime d’Expertises (COMEX) of France has been awarded a significant supply contract by the Norwegian healthcare authority Helse Sør-Øst RHF to deliver cutting-edge hyperbaric chamber systems to the New Rikshospitalet in Oslo. The €3.22 million deal, which was completed on June 26, 2025, is a major step towards providing state-of-the-art medical equipment for hyperbaric oxygen therapy to one of Norway's most notable hospital projects.
A Crucial Purchase for the Healthcare System in Norway
COMEX will provide a two-chamber pressure system with a treatment chamber and a pre-chamber for personnel access under contract number NRH-K6601-25-0001. The system will facilitate specialised medical procedures that use controlled pressurisation, which is frequently used in situations like carbon monoxide poisoning, decompression sickness, and complicated wound care.
In accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU, Helse Sør-Øst RHF carried out the procurement, named "Contract 6601 Pressure Chambers – New Rikshospitalet", in accordance with Norway's Public Procurement Act (LOA) and the Public Procurement Regulations (FOA).
