- 2218 Landslide protection Fjaler Avalanche prevention measures against rock falls must be carried out in two areas in Fjaler municipality that lie within defined danger zones for avalanches. Work in area 2 is an option. The areas are divided into areas 1 and 2. Area 1 is located east of Dale centre, along Dalsåsvegen. In this area, there are two separate slopes that must be avalanche protected. The slopes are located in a residential area, and especially area 1A and the slope behind Fjellvegen 16 are close to residential buildings. Felling of trees on the slopes must be carried out, as well as bolting of unstable blocks and securing with rockfall netting as a safety fence. The work must be carried out in places with ropes. Area 2 (option) is located north of the center of Dale, and includes the northern and southern ends of a short tunnel on Yksnebjørvegen. Slopes over both outcrops must be cleaned and secured with a bolt. The work is carried out using a lift and from a rope. All work is carried out under the auspices of the contractor, who supplies all materials.
