26/00697 Renting space and time on a pelagic trawler for megafauna excluder trials - summer/autumn 2026 The Norwegian Institute of Marine Research (Client) wishes to rent space and time on board a pelagic trawler to evaluate the effectiveness of a megafauna excluder that will release mackerel sturgeon, shark, and other large unwanted species in summer/autumn 2026 for 7-14 sailing days depending on the daily price of the vessel. Data will also be collected with the CamSounder (Scantrol DV) trawl camera system. The voyage must be carried out under commercial conditions fishing for North Sea herring and/or mackerel, but it may also be relevant with experimental trawl hauls with open bags.
