• Procurement - Fiber, 2025 The purpose is to enter into parallel framework agreements with up to five suppliers to cover Ålesund municipality's needs for outdoor fiber installation services. The agreement must ensure quick and flexible access to professionally qualified personnel supplier capacity for both planned and urgent needs within outdoor fiber work throughout the agreement period. The fiber work can include, among other things: pulling fiber cables in existing or new pipes splicing and termination documentation in accordance with NEK TR 750 OTDR measurement and use of power meters other necessary installation work related to outdoor fiber, within the scope of the agreement The agreement must also cover the need for a quick response time in case of critical errors, as well as ensure flexible access to suppliers where the municipality has short deadlines or are part of cross-sector collaboration projects with other actors (e.g. the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, VA, power companies or telecommunications operators). The agreement must not be used in cases where there are claims from third parties (e.g. owners of shared infrastructure or developer) on the use of specific installers. In such cases, the need falls outside the scope of the agreement. The agreement does not apply to internal cabling in municipal buildings; this is covered by existing agreements. Note: Excavation work and other groundwork is not included in this procurement, and is covered by separate agreements.
