Description : St. Olavs Hospital HF would like to procure a new bone density measurer based on dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA), as well as an option for 1 equivalent bone density measurer over a 3 year period. The bone density measurer will be used in the Endocrinology Department at the Medical Clinic. It will mainly be used for bone density measurements for diagnostics and follow-up of osteoporosis, but also to some degree it will be used for full body examinations of body composition. The equipment will measure bone density in both lumbalcolumna, hip, upper femur, and distale underarm, picturing the back in a side projection, and measuring trabecular bone score (TBS).
