Description:
Bergen Vann operates and manages the municipal water and sewage installations in Bergen Municipality, and operates the municipal water and sewage installations in Bjørnafjorden Municipality. In Bergen Municipality this consists of 100 km of tunnels and rock halls. Since 2007, inspections have been undertaken for control and implement safety measures in order to ensure safety against debris and landslides in many of the installations. The water and sewage installations in rock consist of a treatment plant for waste water and associated supply tunnels, sewage and discharge tunnels, as well as water treatment plants with pure water basins, and tunnels for supply and distribution to the subscribers. The treatment plants for waste water and water treatment plants consist of larger rock chambers with several installations and open basins that require extra measures and equipment in order secure the rock in the rooms.
