- Vestland County, c/o Bybanen Utbygging, is in charge of developing the Light Rail In Bergen and has initiated the planning of construction stage 5 from the centre of Bergen to Γ sane. The fifth construction stage will run from the town centre through Γ sane to VΓ₯gsbotn. The line will be realised in two construction stages: the first stage is approx. 2.5 km double track from the centre to Amalie Skrams vei (Sandviken) with possible opening 2029. The next stage is approx. 10 km. Double track from Amalie Skrams vei to Γ sane, and with possible opening 2039. This stage also includes a depot and a public transport terminal in Γ sane. The light rail route will be connected on the existing route in Kaigaten, where a new bus stop is established. The route continues in Christies gate, SmΓ₯strandsgaten, Torget, Bryggen and Sandbrogaten. From Sandbrogaten, the track route goes into the tunnel to Sandviken and a stop in the mountains at Sandviken church and continue on towards Amalie Skrams vei.
