Short description: The Norwegian Maritime Directorate wants a gap analysis of the construction requirements that are set for leisure boats through regulations on 15 January 2016 No. 35 on the production and turnover of recreational vessels and watercraft, etc. And the requirements set for occupational boats through current regulations and Nordic boat standard for vocational boats (1990). Especially when it comes to the smallest vessels, there is a great need to clarify the differences in the regulations. Furthermore, the Norwegian Maritime Directorate wants a basis for assessing the changes that can be done in the regulations that apply to the smallest vocational vessels to make this regulations better and possibly harmonize it with the leisure boat requirements, where this may be appropriate, without reducing the security level.
