- The instrument will primarily be used to analyse oligosaccharides and monosaccharides, but it may also be desirable to use it to analyse amines, carboxylic acids, as well as inorganic anions and cations. A large part of the department's research activities focus on the characterisation, purification and application of polysaccharides. Sugar analysis is therefore a key technique that is important both for research projects and for the education of master's and PhD candidates.
