• Tenders are invited for Consultancy to Conduct Gender Analysis on Norwegian Church Aid (Nca) Programme in the Republic of South Sudan. The Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is an independent diaconal, humanitarian, and non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) mandated by churches and Christian organizations in Norway to work for global justice, by empowering the poor and challenging the wealthy and powerful. Together with our constituency and our partners, NCA commits to the vision: Together for a Just World. Based on the Christian faith, NCA works for the benefit of the poor, destitute and oppressed - regardless of gender, race, political opinion or religion. NCA started operations in South Sudan in 1972, providing long term development and humanitarian assistance. The objective of Norwegian Church Aid Programme in South Sudan is to strengthen civil society to contribute to peaceful and inclusive South Sudan where citizens co-exist and experience equitable development within a secure environment. To achieve this objective, in 2020-2024 strategic period, NCA-s interventions focus on three thematic areas: Peacebuilding, Gender-Based Violence and Adolescents Reproductive Health Rights (GBV-ASRH) and Climate Resilient Water Sanitation and Hygiene (CL WASH) and contextualised project in Education and Inclusion. NCA also supports extensive emergency preparedness and response to address immediate humanitarian needs in South Sudan. The NCA South Sudan Strategy for the period 2020-2024 is embedded in the triple nexus between development, emergency, and peace. Presently NCA has presence in Eastern Equatoria, Warrap, Western Bahr El Ghazal, Upper Nile State, and greater Pibor Area in Gumuruk. It is on this basis NCA that wishes to conduct a conflict analysis to establish the causes, actors and dynamics and their interactions and effects on NCA programmes in South Sudan. NCA acknowledges the gendered effects of conflict and over the years has incorporated gender in all its programmes as well as a key aspect of partner-s support. It is on this basis that NCA wishes to commission Gender Analysis to assess the extent to which its programmes are gender and people with disability sensitive. This will enable NCA to develop programmes that are better suited to meet the needs of rights holders within existing different gender frameworks. Given the current context in South Sudan, the gender analysis will further explore how NCA programmes complies with the four goals of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 - Women, Peace and Security (2000): 1) Participation, 2) Prevention, 3) Protection and 4) Relief and Recovery.
