Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Data Scientist All interested and qualified applicants are invited to submit an expression of interest by Wednesday 21st August 2024, 23:59 CET to ch.gvatenders@nrc.no. The bid application/email subject should be titled: Data scientist, and the following included in the application: · Technical proposal, including CV; · Financial offer in CHF, inclusive VAT and all charges; · List of references that can be contacted to verify the quality of services; · Proof of registration as a sole trader/registered company in country of residence, as relevant. Tender announcement Please find the full Terms of Reference and application process enclosed: As a Data Scientist Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting the following tasks: 1. Adapt a generic classification algorithm based on keywords for specific regions, sources and displacement types. 2. Help to develop a methodology to distinguish flow and stock displacement data from text. 3. Extract and harmonise displacement information from historical Excel files. 4. Adapt data extraction pipelines using Large Language Models via prompt engineering for conflict. 5. Develop a methodology to match conflict and disaster events to existing displacement figures. 6. Develop a methodology to rank the relevance of displacement sources. 7. Build UX annotator modules to highlight extracted information for specific sources. Please note: All service providers/consultants working with NRC should maintain high standards on ethical issues, respect and apply basic human and social rights, ensure non-exploitation of child labour, and give fair working conditions to their staff. NRC reserves the right to reject quotations provided by suppliers not meeting these standards. Consultants doing business with NRC will be screened on anti-corruption due diligence before NRC confirms a contract.
