• Tenders are invited for Consultant to Advise on the Objectives, Parameters and Facilitation of an Innovation Sprint to Best Generate Actionable Access Solutions to Deliver Humanitarian Services in Hard-to-Reach Areas for NRC and its Local Partners Support: Innovation Sprint Guidance Scope and consultancy products Achieving the purpose of this consultancy will require the following products and services: 1. Sprint design (10 hours estimated) Activities and deliverables include: · Review of research findings mentioned above to inform sprint objectives, activities and guiding questions · Design of call for proposals and parameters of sprint for participants · Design interactive sessions that leverage appropriate approaches and methods for the sprint-s objectives 2. Follow-up protocol design (2 hours estimated) Activities and deliverables include: · Help NRC understand how best to support those going through the Sprint. This may include parameters for a help desk function across multiple countries, tips for “coaching” teams as they develop innovative approaches, and more. 3. Selection panel participation (2 hours estimated) Activities includes: · Participate in a panel of experts to choose which proposals are selected. Expertise required To achieve the deliverables expected, the following capacity is required: Primary: · Experience designing and executing Innovation Sprints in the humanitarian community, particularly addressing avenues for systems change. · Understanding of humanitarian access concepts, frameworks and mechanisms · Experience “coaching” others to support Innovation activities. · Ability to prepare, adapt and finalise easy to digest materials to promote and facilitate innovation activities Secondary: · Familiarity with challenges faced by local actors working in humanitarian space and through partnerships with international or UN agencies. · Experience working remotely with minimal supervision, but with strong personal drive and communication skills needed for coordinating multiple moving pieces of work · Comfortable operating in the initial phases of a project, where objectives and deliverables are iterative · Experience facilitating interactive online sessions with sound knowledge of both methods and tools that maximize participant engagement and outcomes.
