• Description:
• Oslo kommune, Renovasjons- og gjenvinningsetaten (REG) plans to procure container for glass and metal packaging and is conducting a market survey to prepare for a possible procurement. REG would like the containers to have a large volume, at the same time as being able to be placed loosely at ground level and in confined spaces. Furthermore, REG needs conatiners of several sizes. The containers shall have a visual design that prevents them from creating resistance from neighbours, as well as a practical/universal design that allows traffic requirements to be complied with and that the service is available to all inhabitants. The containers can be subject to vandalism and accidents (scraping/graffiti/hit-and-run). The continers must therefore be of a type of material that is to a small degree visually or quality affected by normal use and maintenance (e.g. removal of graffiti). REG has made the emptying and collection of glass and metal packaging subject to competition . The emptying of the modules is done in open 35m3 containers and it often occurs close to the public, so emptying the module is therefore a critical security factor. Based on experience, the container should be bottom-emptied and equipped with a two-hook system. The throw-in hatches should also have a maximum diameter of 23 cm.
