Description:
The Høllesli tunnel is located on county road 523 in Forsand municipality and is an important traffic route through Ryfylke. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration shall upgrade the Høllesli tunnel so that the tunnel fulfils the minimum requirements set by the EU in order to ensure and safe existing tunnels. The tunnel was built in 1993. The tunnel length is 822 metres and the tunnel profile is T8.5. The speed limit is 80 km/h, and ÅDT is about 1600. The works include, among other things: • Replace water and frost protection • Establishment of pipeline for future extinguishing water in the tunnel. • Cleaning and securing work • Blasting for havarininje and stoll for technical buildings as well as minor expansions to the tunnel profile. • New technical building • Upgrading the existing sand trap • New conveying paths for high voltage, low voltage and fibre • New banquets on both sides and guardrails on one side • New tunnel lighting and the establishment of road lighting in the transitional zone. • New safety equipment and CRM • Superstructure • New signs, closing sheds and reinforced road marking. • Establish a warning system for cyclists, establishing a height hurder
