- The aim of the procurement is to cover the Section for Forensic Genetics in Criminal Cases, the Department of Forensic Sciences at Oslo University Hospital's need for DNA extraction kits and consumables for manual extraction of DNA from trace samples collected in criminal cases. The DNA extraction kits and consumables must be suitable for forensic genetic trace samples. The section receives approx. 25,000 trace samples a year, this volume has been stable in recent years. We have no knowledge of planned changes to the police's routines for sample taking, and therefore neither in the number of trace samples.
