- Short description: Bybanen Utbyggding is in the process of preparing the acquisition of the track signaling system for the Bybanen construction stage 5 from the center of Bergen to Asane. The procurement is scheduled to be announced at the end of this year, and the contract will be signed with the selected contractor in late summer 2024. The line willThe plan is realized in two construction stages. The first stage is approx. 2.5 km double track from the center to Amalie Skrams Vei (Sandviken) with a possible opening in 2028. The next stage is approx. 10 km of double track from Amalie Skrams Vei to Asane and is scheduled to open in 2033. This stage also includes a parking garage inThe hills. In addition, the contract will also have options for further construction stages. The procurement will be carried out as a negotiation procedure in two stages, and the contract will be a turnkey contract (EPCI contract (Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning and Installation)) which will include track signaling systems, switchgear control, central system and drive machines for switchgear.
