• E64 Machine and process 3 - The transfer plant (Konghaugen purification plant) - Qualification phase Through the project BLÅ - fjords for the future, Ålesund municipality and Sula municipality are working together to build a new sewage treatment plant at Kongshaugen (Kvasnes) in Sula municipality. The objectives of the project are as follows: Cleaner fjord system Legal system for waste water Sustainable solution for the future The new waste water treatment plant will be built in the mountains and have sufficient treatment capacity to handle the waste water that will be supplied from Sula municipality and Ålesund municipality. The plant is designed for 69,000 person equivalents, and will be designed as a secondary treatment plant. The new treatment plant will replace seven existing treatment plants and some sludge separators. The waste water must therefore be pumped out existing treatment plant and up to Kongshaugen via an extensive transmission system. The transmission facility is approx. 34 km of drainage lines and will contain 25 objects, including approx. 28 km of sea lines, 6 km of lines over land, 3 valve houses/basins and 9 pumping stations. The contract work for the construction of the transmission facility will be organized as 9 parallel execution contracts. For a more detailed description of other works, refer to Part A - General part. The client must now enter into a contract with one contractor for the delivery of machine and process 3 to the transfer plant (contract E64), as part of the transfer plant to the Kongshaugen sewage treatment plant.
