Short Description: Since 2008, the Norwegian Climate and Forest Initiative (Kos) has been working to reduce carbon emissions from deforestation and forest impairment in developing countries. Kos represents a key initiative in Norway's development assistance. Since the beginning of the Kos-initiative, 5.9 billion has probably been allocated to or through civilian social organizations. Around 4 billion has been managed by Norad through civilian social support through four rounds; 2009-2012, 2013-15, 2016-2020 and 2021-25. To plan a possible new call for civil society.
