- Feedback/input - The Market Information System (MIS) survey Troms county council (hereinafter referred to as the client) will soon announce a competition for a new contract related to the Market Information System (MIS) survey. The survey is carried out continuously throughout Troms. It has been based on a representative sample of travelers and recruited on board a selection of buses throughout the county. In this connection, we want to survey whether there are alternative or supplementary methods for execution of the survey, including solutions that can contribute to increased efficiency, better data quality or more flexible data collection. The client requests input from suppliers on the following: Which methods are recommended for this type of investigation, and why? Advantages and disadvantages compared to the current solution (onboard interviews). How can a representative sample of travelers be ensured across geography, lines, time and demographics? How would a possible change in method affect the results? How can comparability with historical data be ensured? How can a continuous and stable data flow to our statistics systems (e.g. Power BI) be ensured? See the attached document for more information. The client wants short, general ones input and assessments, and requests that any proposals be described with regard to consequences for quality, cost and feasibility.
