Description : During the spring, summer and autumn seasons in the period 2022-2025, Norsk Polarinstitutt (NP) [the Norwegian Polar Institute] will utilise helicopters in connection with NP's expedition activity (the Svalbard expedition) on the Svalbard archipelago and in the surrounding sea areas.
The helicopter will primarily be used to transport personnel and materials, as well as for immobilisation and marking of polar bears and flights with instruments in connection with research.
