Description : In order to fulfil the necessary water quality requirements, the department must use aluminium sulphate as a coagulant in water treatment. The treatment plant at Skullerud is built and optimised for aluminium sulphate granulate (ALG) 0,5 -3.
The need for aluminium sulphate granulate (ALG) is expected to be approx. 230 tons a year. The product must be listed in the Norwegian Food Safety Authority's list of approved chemicals for treatment of drinking water, according to the drinking water regulations,
section 14.
The total maximum value of the framework agreement is NOK 7,000,000 excluding VAT for a 4 year period. The estimate is made on the basis of historical figures and the expected future use, according to the contracting authority's best judgement, as well as the extraordinary situation that the world market is currently in. The concrete call-offs are dependent on the department's changing need during the agreement period. It is emphasized that the framework agreement does not entail any purchase obligation for VAV.
