Description : Norwegian Customs is responsible for carrying out controls on the supply of goods to or from Norway. Norwegian Customs carries out controls of persons, consignments, and means of transport, including vehicles, trains, aircraft, vessels, and other means of transport.
The smuggling of drugs and other goods that are hidden in/are in difficult to reach places in vehicles, aircraft, boats, and amongst cargo is a challenge for the controls. Controls of such difficult places are time-consuming to carry out, but by using hand held video probes, we can quickly see in narrow places without having to disassemble/remove loads.
The purpose of the procurement is to enter into a nationwide framework agreement for the delivery of hand-held video probes for the Norwegian Customs. Video probes are used as a tool and aid in the Norwegian Customs' control activities.
