  • Following a highly successful UN Environment Assembly, the Future Resolution for Global Environment Outlook (GEO) was approved by member states by March 2, 2022, and defined in the EA.5/3 resolution. At the same time, the timeline for production of the seventh edition of the Global Environment Outlook (GEO-7) is defined by the RESOLUTION EA.5/3, which specifies that the main assessment report and its accompanying summary for decision makers (SPM) shall be prepared every four years, and that GEO-7 shall be presented for a future session of UNEA for approval not before 2025. As a part of the production process, scientific and linguistic editing is required after the completion of the main report and the second draft (SOD) of the summary for decision makers (SPM) in March and July 2025. Based on the workload of the GEO-7 reports, an editing company will be recruited to ensure the highest technical quality, consistency, clarity and readability of the GEO-7 main report and the summary for decision makers scheduled to be released during the seventh session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-7) in December 2025.
