Short Description: Greening Government Initiative (GGI) is a global community of practice consisting of participants from 40 countries across 5 continents working for greener national authorities. GGI participants exchange knowledge, promote innovation and share best practices to reduce public companies' environmental impact. Many countries are the national authorities the largest car fleet owner, the electricity consumer, the property holder and the buyer of goods and services. The work to reduce state emissions therefore not only has direct emission effects, but can also stimulate actions for the entire economy, drive up zero -emission solutions. GIGI participants recognize the critical role national authorities have a driving force in the transition to a sustainable and climate neutral future by making their own actions greener.
