Description:
In 2021 Avinor AS conducted a competition for a license contract for the lease of land for the exercise of business activities within Duty Free and Single Price at several airports in Norway. Travel Retail Norway AS was awarded a contract for Oslo Airport, Bergen Airport, Stavanger Airport and Trondheim with a duration from 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2027. Similarly, Airport Retail Norway AS was awarded the contracts for Kristiansand, Ålesund, Bodø, Tromsø, Molde, Evenes and Kristiansund. Of these, Single Price has been established at Ålesund, Bodø and Tromsø. The contracts for Duty Free and Travel Value make up a large part of the commercial revenues for Avinor AS. In the period from the competition was announced to the present day, the framework conditions and the market situation have changed significantly, which in turn has resulted in significantly impaired passenger bases and sales. Avinor sees a need to make a temporary change in the contract with a view to contributing to increased sales in an extraordinary market.
