It appears from the Hurdals platform that the government wants To ensure a better balance of power in the value chain for food through better supervision, greater openness and more equitable distribution of values throughout the value chain. I Request Decision No. 573 of 4 February 2021 The government is requested to require accounting and functional distinction between the joints in the value chain in the grocery industry. The Government has provided a report on follow-up of the request decision in Prop. 1 S (2023-2024) 1 and (2024-2025). Accounting Separate means that accounting, auditing and reporting is required for each link in the value chain, e.g. in that different business areas are organized in separate companies. The investigation shall consist of a legal and financial assessment of requirements for accounting and functional differences in The grocery industry. The investigator shall explain such differences in the value chain for food and groceries, make a legal assessment of the possibilities of introducing requirements for such differences, providing proposals for regulation, and assessing the consequences of such requirements.
