Investigation into climate adaptation of nature in Norway
The investigation shall provide the Expert Committee on Climate Adaptation with the best possible professional basis for making recommendations on climate adaptation of ecosystems in Norway. Answering the assignment will require both natural science and socio-economic competence. The mission is threefold. The committee wishes to have a problem description drawn up (part 1), and to shed light on relevant government measures that can contribute to robust ecosystems in the best possible ecological condition and which maintain their functions under changing climate conditions (part 2). Furthermore, the Committee wants knowledge of the positive and negative effects of such measures (part 3). The investigation must have a long-term time perspective (mid and end of the century) and uncertainty about future climate change must be elucidated based on three climate scenarios (RCP 2.6, RCP 4.5 and SSP3-7.0). Final delivery deadline for the assignment is 10 April 2026. Estimated value for the acquisition is from NOK 1,300,000 excl. VAT to NOK 1,489,999 excl. The estimate is not binding on the client.
