Description:
On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Research, the Directorate for Education is now initiating a review of the subject and hourly distribution in upper secondary education. The review is rooted in Meld. St. 21 (2020-2021) Completion Reform-with open doors to the world and the future, and includes the study preparatory education programs and joint subjects on vocational education programs. The national division of subjects and hourly distribution has the status of regulations and contains provisions on which subjects the pupils should have in the different educational programs, and the number of hours per subject. No major changes have been made to the subject and hourly distribution for upper secondary education since the introduction of the curriculum for the Knowledge Promotion in 2006 (LK06/LK06 Sami). The purpose of the research assignment that is announced is to obtain knowledge that the Directorate of Education will use in the work on the work of the investigation and development of A new framework for content and structure. Through the assignment, information will be obtained from students and students, schools and school owners, the UH sector and the working life about the challenges of the current structure and content in higher education.
