Description:
Troms County is responsible for organising daily transport for all students who, according to the Education Act, have the right to free school transport in primary and secondary schools and sixth form colleges. The pupils who are given a transport are entitled to a travel companion and supervision in the waiting time before and after training if they need this. In the school year 2024/2025, 11 pupils have had a need for travel companions. Troms county would like to procure a travel companion for the organisation of the daily transport service. Based on the mapping we have done, we believe that there is only one supplier in the market who can deliver a system in accordance with our needs. We would therefore like feedback on whether there are several relevant tenderers who can deliver such a system. The provisional requirement specifications we have prepared are attached for our needs. We would like interested suppliers to look through this and give their input. We would like, among other things, to know whether the requirements we have set take care of our needs and/or whether there are other requirements we ought to make for a good service for students with a need for travelling companions when transporting sixth form education. As mentioned, there were 11 students who in the school year 2024/2025 needed travel companions for transport to and from sixth form education.
