Mapping of reference data 2026 - Information on upcoming competition
In 2026, the Environment Directorate continues a project that will create a solid natural map based on nature in the Norway system (NiN). In this connection, an assignment related to field mapping for the collection of reference data for the nature map is planned. The assignment will be highlighted during winter/spring 2026. We are already sharing this information to prepare potential suppliers for the upcoming procurement. The assignment applies to the mapping of lowland nature in accordance with an assignment description from the Environment Directorate, as well as the Arts Database's supervisors for the Type and Description System (NiN). There will be several sub-contracts in the competition, where different sub-contracts cover different areas in mainland Norway. Expected total cost framework will be between 9 and 15 million.
