Short Description: The Ministry of Education is aiming for its strategy and action plan for digitization of basic education against a well-functioning and innovative market for digital learning resources, which lays the foundation for custom training. The Directorate of Education has a central role in the realization of the action plan for digitization of basic education. There are still large differences between the municipalities' digital maturity and differences between the schools in both practice and in access to expertise and infrastructure (digital devices, tools and resources). The action plan for the digitization strategy for basic education (2017-2021) contains measures that take important processes to strengthen the work on digital infrastructure, expertise and knowledge base. These processes will lead against a new strategy for digitization in the basic education to be prepared in broad dialogue with actors from the municipal sector, the interest organizations and the Edtech industry.
