• Market request (RFI) linked to boat operation on the Sunnhordlands route from 2030 Skyss is holding a preliminary competition for the operation of the Sunnhordlands route for the period December 2030 to December 2045 and now wants input from the market related to preliminary proposals for requirements and solutions. The county committee has decided that emissions from operation of the route should be reduced by a minimum of 20-25% compared to today's emissions. This means that two of the three vessels that will operate the route must be partially electric. It is planned that the route offer will be hosted somewhat adjusted from December 2030. Which quays the three vessels will call from December 2030 is illustrated in the appendix Travel pattern. Route offer and climate ambition were dealt with in the County Committee on 18.02.26. Case submissions and decisions are available here under PS 22/2026: Committee meeting It is being considered to use a bonus model or change option for further climate cuts beyond the minimum requirement defined in the Contract point 5.3. Skyss would very much like the market's input on such a solution. In addition, proposals for own have been submitted amendment rule linked to climate in the attached contract draft chapter 1. It has not yet been decided whether the contract should be designed as a gross or net contract. The county committee wants a more thorough assessment of and will handle this in the autumn, before announcement. Regardless of the form of contract, there is a desire for a strong incentive to exploit a potential in the market and increase the number of travelers where there is capacity.
