- Description:
- The Agency for Urban Environment c/o the Forest and Landscape Department, plans to procure a system for sanitation, as well as the hire and emptying of waste containers. The department is responsible for handling public waste in the countryside and on the islands operated by the Agency for Urban Environment, as well as commercial waste from own operating stations, sports theatres in the countryside, catering locations on the islands and five boat associations. Construction waste is also delivered from large and small building and maintenance projects, in addition to handling hazardous waste. The amount of waste delivered to the reception is approx. 400 tons per annum, but there are large seasonal variations. Most waste is generated in the summer due to a high number of visitors. Tenderers must therefore be flexible and able to handle large variations in needs. The type of containers used also vary, as they shall cover different needs (size, type of waste, throw-in system, freight method, need for use of cranes, challenges with birds/pests). The waste shall be handled in a regulatory and reliable manner, in accordance with the Regulations on recycling and treatment of waste (waste regulations) - Law data. Several of the locations from which the waste is collected are difficult to access and sorting waste in many different fractions is challenging.
