About the procurement cooperation municipalities Aukra, Hustadvika, Kristiansund, Molde, Rauma and Vestnes face large and common challenges in the health and care sector. Fragmented services, lack of labor, a pressured economy and systems developed for yesterday's needs mean that today's service model is not sustainable for the future. Demographic changes with more older and fewer working reinforce the pressure, and the expectations of residents and politicians contrast with the municipalities' actual ability to deliver. There is a need for a clear change of pace in the organization, interaction and use of technology in order to meet the needs of the future.
