Description : Oslo Municipality will carry out a new city life survey. The geographical limit (the survey area) covers the centre of Oslo, including Hammersborg, Fredensborg, and Hausmannskvartalene, the Vulkan areas in Grünnerløkka, as well as parts of Grønland and Tøyen. The city life survey is to be seen in connection with the project 'City Life Barometer for the Centre of Oslo, Grønland, and Tøyen', and is included as a measure in the city council's focus on car-free city life. The survey will be carried out in a collaboration with the Secretariat for a Living Oslo, the Agency for Planning and Building, and the Agency for Urban Environment.
The intention of making a new city life survey is to:
- obtain an updated and baselined description of city life in the centre of Oslo, Grønland, and Tøyen as it is today.
- point out characteristics in the development of city life since 2014
- point out strategic measures for increased city life and increased activity in urban spaces in the coming years
