Procurement - Department of Waste Breivika, 2025
The municipality of Ålesund will reshape and improve seepage pipes, VA-networks and the overwater system at Breivika Waste Deposition on Harøya in Ålesund municipality. Breivika waste landfill was used as a landfill for household and commercial waste for former Sandøy municipality. The landfill was in use in the period 1990 to 2006, and completed in 2006/2008. Etablering av avfallsplassen ble utført i samsvar med planer fremlagt for Fylkesmannen i Møre og Romsdal, og driftet i samsvar med tillatelsen. The end of the landfill was made according to plans prepared by the municipality of Sandøy. After the termination of the landfill operation, the waste site has been used for a recycling station and for the treatment of sludge from separate wastewater systems. The project includes the following: • New drainage line from the landfill and down to the sea, including work inside the station for connection to this • New support wall in the north, including a new drainage line in connection with this • Establishment of a new oil separator, including connection of this to the existing network, southwest at the environmental station. The work also includes the construction of a wash area. • Paving of gravel areas and roads at landfill and environmental station. • Crossing road and traffic congestion
