Description : Drammen Municipality has had a requirement for water meters in new buildings and in all commercial buildings since 1978. The municipality currently has 98 % water meter coverage, which is equivalent to approx. 34 000 installed meters. These are mainly analogue meters.
A project has now been established for the introduction of automatic water meter reading, where one of the sub-projects is to replace the meters. The goal is that all of the meters are replaced over 4-5 years.
