Description:
Production of training data for remote sensing The Norwegian Environment Agency is developing several modeled map products based on remote sensing and machine learning that are used in nature management. To develop and improve such models, high-quality training data is needed. The client therefore needs the production of manually annotated training data, based on the interpretation of aerial images, satellite images and other relevant data sources. This assignment is mainly to support the Norwegian Environment Agency's work with updating field maps dataset. The Norwegian Environment Agency has developed a method based on remote sensing and machine learning to detect changes in land cover. These changes are used as a guideline to update our field-mapped datasets. There is a need to further develop the method forms training data to improve accuracy for the whole of Norway. In this context, the Norwegian Environment Agency needs support from a consultant on an hourly basis. The assignment includes manual annotation or drawing/digitizing of training data based on remote sensing data in the form of satellite images or orthophotos. No fieldwork shall be carried out.
