Description:
Prospecting for groundwater The purpose of the procurement is to carry out test drilling for groundwater in order to map and document a groundwater system that can be established as the main water source for Gildeskål municipality. Before test drilling, it must be carried out geophysical investigations. The aim of the geophysical surveys is to map structures under the ground, which are of great importance for groundwater bodies. The main purpose of the geophysical surveys is to increase the accuracy of drilling. The basis for the acquisition is the report Groundwater in Gildeskål municipality - report from initial investigations prepared by Ruden AS (26.09.2025). The report concludes that there is significant potential for groundwater extraction within the area from Skauvoll in the south to Trolldalen in the north, and recommends early trial drilling in both rock and loose masses to reduce uncertainty and form a decision-making basis for further development. The municipality's estimated water needs are approx. 17.4 l/s, equivalent supply to approximately 1,000 subscribers, incl interest in possible solutions that can provide higher capacity.
