Object of the contract
Vestfold Vann will establish two elevated basins in order to increase the security of supply for drinking water in Vestfold. One of the basins will be built at the side of the existing elevated basin at Gjøgri, north-east in Holmestrand municipality. The other basin will be established at Husåsen in Sandefjord municipality near Torp Airport. Each elevated basin will be designed with two slip-cast circular tanks with approx. 16 m height and internal diameter of 50 m and in-between valve chambers and stair tower. Each tank will room approx. 30 000 m and combined the elevated basins will room a water volume of 60 000 m.The construction contract includes concrete and steel works, ground and outdoor works, access roads, HVAC and sanitation and external piping installations (DN1000 water pipelines, electric cables, etc.). A contract will be signed for one of the basins, with option prices for the next. The development sequence has not yet been decided.
