• Request for Information - Procurement of Air Ambulance Services (RFI) The air ambulance service HF (Client) is preparing a new public procurement of air ambulance services. The acquisition includes a complete operation at relevant air ambulance airbases, including suitable aircraft, operation, staffing, maintenance, preparedness, equipment, training etc. The client provides base facilities and a hangar. The operation includes nine ambulance aircraft in accordance with Annex A5 - Preparedness structure. The duration of the agreement will tentatively run from 1 July 2030 to 30 June 2036 with the possibility of an extension of 2 + 3 years. As part of the preparation of a possible procurement of air ambulance services, it is important for the Client and its owner, the regional health authorities, to get a good one picture of what the market can offer. In this connection, the Commission wishes to invite potential providers to provide input under the following topic, cf. appendix Part I Questions to potential providers: realistic timetable for the start of flight operation proposals to suitable aircraft costs No major changes are planned in relation to today's service in terms of quality. The competition basis from the previous tender competition in 2016 thus gives a good picture of what can be expected to be delivered in the next contract period. The client is also asking for input on whether jet aircraft in category 2 can be replaced with turboprops with similar capacity, cf. appendix Part II Operational capacity - Ambulance aircraft.
