RFI - Emergency locomotives
Bane NOR is in the process of replacing a series of older emergency locomotives, including the current MZ and Di8 models. Bane NOR wants to get an overview of the market for locomotives, production line and overview of different budget prices. Through this RFI, Bane NOR aims to gather insight into: - Available standard locomotives - mainline freight and heavy shunting operations - Production lead times and manufacturing capacity - Technical concept and different energy carrier - Estimated budget prices The primary interest is in locomotives that are proven in use, to support a smooth procurement and regulatory approval process — especially through ERA (European Union Agency for Railways). However, innovative or conceptual solutions are also of interest. We would like written feedback on the various functions, concept, and relevant past projects/deliveries. Later, it may be appropriate to have a follow-up meeting with the supplier. We want all responses to be sent to our contact person. Deadline for written feedback is 19.09.2025
