Bane NOR is moving towards a modern ICT architecture, based on service orientation, IT / OT separation and domain orientation, as well as broker-based integration and cloud adoption. Parts of the existing portfolio do not fit into this new architecture without extensive modifications. A key obstacle to modernization is the existence of big monoliths spanning multiple business domains and implementing long business process chains. Analysis has identified thematic clusters of functionalities that are today handled by one common application. Bane NOR Traffic &Customer domain would benefit from breaking up this monolith into separate services.
