Tenders are invited to RFI - Route Planning and Analysis Waby
Short Description: The Railway Directorate largely uses strategic scheduling in our network planning activities, and we need a scheduling tool suitable for development, evaluation and processing of strategic timetables. Such long -term route planning differs from tactical and operational route planning in that the grid infrastructure is not necessarily provided and that the basis is not a railway applications from railway undertakings, but service requirements based on transport preacher and political policy. The Railway Directorate also needs to evaluate both today's network use and the quality of the possible Future timetables, both analytically on a macroscopic network and through rail traffic simulations on a microscopic infrastructure model. The analyzes can either be performed in the same tool (suite) as the schedule, or in a separate tool as long as seamless data exchange is ensured between the tools. The Railway Directorate uses Railml® for data exchange.
