- Rv.52 Tuv -Venas and Storeskar - Galdane
52 is the mountain crossing between Eastern Norway and Western Norway with the highest proportion of heavy transport. The purpose of all the measures on Rv. 52 is to improve accessibility, traffic safety and operating conditions, especially in winter. Tuv-Venas: On the stretch between Tuv and Venas Have today's road a steep climb of 8.2-9.1 % in the noise hill. This means that heavy vehicles get fixed in winter, which in turn results in back blocking, reduced accessibility and traffic -hazardous situations. Today's chain space is under -dimensioned and not built according to today's requirements. On There is no offer for soft road users. The national highway should therefore be improved to an H1 road, with a special focus on better vertical curvature, a parallel walk and bicycle path shall be established, and the chain space shall be moved and built according to requirements in the applicable manuals. Speed limit is set to 60 km/h until Venas bridge. Masonry and viewing screen must be built. New culverts will be established through rv. 52, as well as old culverts to be removed. Today's Storeskar bridge has registered damage and is after the new Skj0iten bridge was built, the weakest point on Rv. 52. The bridge's adjacent road has today a tight S-curve that does not meet current normal requirements. The new Storeskar bridge is part of the contract work and adjacent road geometry will be improved to H1 standard. Speed limit is set at 80 km/h.
