- Screening 2026 - car tire substances With this announcement, the Norwegian Environment Agency will follow up on previous findings of car tire substances. In the screening program 2022, we found high concentrations, which exceeded the associated PNEC values, were measured in all samples associated with tires. Gundersen, C.B., et al. (2023). Screening Program 2022. New environmental pollutants (Client: Norwegian Environment Agency, Publication No. M-2612|2023). Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA). We will continue to investigate other car tire-related substances in this announcement. The substances have been selected by the Norwegian Environment Agency's screening group on the basis of external and internal input for the screening program 2026. The substances were prioritized on the basis of our use for results, previous investigations in the environment, physico-chemical properties (including QSAR modelling) and the substances' usage quantities. The tenderer must include as many analyses, individual substances and sample types as possible within the financial framework of the project.
