Service for the storage and destruction of seized unmarked fishing gear
The agreement applies to the delivery of services related to collection, reception and storage and destruction/recovery of seized unmarked fishing gear (lines, nets, lures, etc.), where the owner cannot be identified. The Storting has adopted an amendment to the Marine Resources Act from 1 January 2026, which gives the Directorate of Fisheries authority to seize and destroy unmarked fishing gear.
