Service for the storage and destruction of seized unmarked fishing gear The Storting has adopted an amendment to the Marine Resources Act from 1 January 2026, which gives the Directorate of Fisheries authority to seize and destroy unmarked fishing gear. On that occasion shall The Directorate of Fisheries enters into an agreement for the delivery of services related to the collection, reception, storage and destruction/recycling of seized unmarked fishing gear (lines, nets, lures, etc.), where the owner cannot be identified.
