Description:
Rockheim is the national museum of popular music and together with Ringve Music Museum, the National Music Museum in Norway. The museum is a department in the Museums of Sør-Trøndelag (MiST). Rockheim shall collect, take care of and communicate Norwegian popular music from the 1950s until today. Rockheim Hall of Fame (RHoF) shall honour artists who have had a major impact on the development and dissemination of Norwegian popular music. Artists with extraordinary careers and others who have had a particular influence on popular music's history in Norway can be included in the Hall of Fame.Arrangement and incorporation has been conducted since 2011 In total, 44 artists have so far been incorporated. The incorporated careers are highlighted at Rockheim in a permanent Hall of Fame exhibition.
