- UiT The Arctic University of Norway wishes to enter into an agreement for the purchase of ultra freezers (-86°C) for the storage of biological material. UiT has procured approx. 5 ultra freezers (566 litres) per annum in recent years. The eighth Tromsø survey (Tromsø8) is ongoing in the period 2025-26, and may lead to a need for a few more freezers. The number is only an estimated number and is in no way binding for UiT. The contracting authority would like tenders for ultra freezers in the lying position (coffin freezers). In addition there is a need for ultra freezers that are between 300-400 litres that are of the type coffin freezers.
